This was the beginning of his love of tiny objects. He has changed so much this past year, lost those chubby cheeks and pudgy fingers. He has grown into a real little boy and lost all the baby. Cole is speaking in sentences now and speaking so clearly. He is already coming up with the funniest things and we wonder who he heard them from- Jeff or I.?
his latest thing to say is "because I love you" well... he got that from me. I asked him one day if he knew why I did something for him, and I told him "because I love you". now whenever I ask why he has done something... like make a mess for instance... he says- because I love you mamma! or his #1 line--- take your hair down mamma, because I love you!

Home at last!

We arrived home this afternoon around 4:00pm. we spent the day in a tiny room off the hospital nursery sitting in chairs (while Jewel was on the big tanning bed). feeding the baby and waiting, waiting, waiting... boy are we exhausted. It has been a long 4 days at Winnie Palmer, but it was worth it having Jewel home now and healthy.
Her jaundice is getting much better and she is now on the billy blanket until blood work will show it all gone. we are looking forward to getting some sleep tonight. I have enjoyed seeing my other baby this evening and snuggling him on our bed. I have missed Cole and he missed me. it is nice to be home as a family again. Cole has done well, but it was hard on him with all the Chaos. He is a trooper and was thrilled that baby Jewel and momma came home today. He immediatly wanted me to put Jewel in her pink bed. and then requested to get in it with her. Which of course I denied. But he was so cute.
He has collected all the name badge stickers (Jeff , Nana, Papa, momma, Cole) throughout the week and stuck them on the wall in the hall right next to Jewel's door. He told Jeff they were from the hospital were sissy was and he was putting them by her room.
he is so sweet and responding well to her and the changes. he is going to be a great big brother!

Jewel update day 3

I have jaundice and have to stay at the hospital longer. momma has to go home tonight at midnight and I have to stay in the nursery on the tanning bed with lights over night and maybe tomorrow too.

Almost got to go home today, but they are taking good care of me here at the Ritz!

Hey, I got lots of hair, momma loves it!

The nurses gave me a mohawk when they gave me a bath. I think they were having fun with my hair. all the other babies in the nursery were fat and bald. I am the cutest and they gave me the cutest hat. Although daddy thinks it is the only one small enough to fit my head.

picking mushrooms is like picking flowers, except when the stem is too thick to pick, you have too kick them loose.! Cole loves to take them and throw them in the road. I think Jeff taught him this.

Trash Truck

one of Cole's favorite things is to watch the trash truck on Monday mornings at 8:00. he sits on his window seat in the playroom and watches. it is a good thing 2 trucks come. one for the recycles. and sometimes a third one comes for the branches and tree stuff.
He listens for these noisy trucks, and will even get out of bed if they come early.

This week we had our second sonogram. We recieved wonderful news that the baby is doing great and that we are having a BABY GIRL!!!! We are feeling elated and shocked that it isn't another boy!! I am excited to start sewing for this baby and all the beautiful pink fabrics and clothes are going to be hard to resist!!!

Cole is going to be such a great Big Brother. He loves to listen to my "Baby Belly" and says Baby heart and Beat, Beat when he listens. I am not sure he fully understands, but he is getting there.

We hunted eggs in the house and in the yard. Momma hid the eggs real good, but Cole was a good hunter!! They were all filled with M & M's yummy yummy. Even Gizmo was hunting as he found a few M& M's that fell out when Cole opened the eggs for a peak!

Hold me back! waiting for them to tell all the kids to start hunting! although it isn't much of a hunt more like grab as fast as you can. there were thousands of eggs and hundreds of people. They have organized times and areas for specific age groups. the biggest Easter party we have been too.

Cole ended up more interested in the balloons than the eggs.

Cole is GO GO GO, but tonight he fell asleep during supper. All three of us were laughing. Cole would lay his head down and close his eyes and Jeff and I would giggle and then Cole would smile and then open his eyes just a crack. he truly wasn't playing asleep, he could barely keep his eyes open, but he wanted to laugh with us anyway. Such a sweet and funny boy!

Gramma and Grampa sent Cole an Elmo potty to get ready for potty training. Cole liked the sippy cup and the box of packing peanuts the best.

Cole wanted mommy to play in the box with him. We had such a good time! It is amazing how much fun something can be when it isn't even a toy.

Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont

Cole and Momma had our special day today. Since I am off on Tuesday this is our special day to do something fun just the two of us. We chose to explore the state park in Clermont and try out momma's new camera. Cole had a blast running and exploring at the lake and on the trails. I enjoyed not having to keep him away from a street or other danger. It was pleasant to be able to let Cole just run and play and not worry. We were tired when we went home, Cole even wanted to get in the stroller for a rest...

Well, honey this isn't the "real" beach, but we will go there soon.

Would you call this a "Bad hair" day?? or we could blame it on the wind. or maybe a little of both?

Cole was so good, he sat in a tree for me for a split second. He was a flash prior to the shot and right after as well.

Ok, so my child doesn't like dirt! he takes after his momma alright! when he falls, he always wants his hands clean right away. Just brush it off son, that is what boys do!

On Valentine's day, I took my little boy to Lowes and we bought a special project. We are planting some spring flowers so he can watch them grow!
first he just loved playing outside. as always the sun and grass are were little boys Must be..
Second he loved his new little pots. taking them out of their tray and putting them back was such a 1 year old thrill!
Next, he wanted to put all the dirt discs in one at a time and then remove them. once we added the water this part was done.
He really doesn't like to get his hands dirty. he likes the idea, but when his hands get dirty, he lifts them up to me and says: Uh, Uh,UH which means: clean my hands momma...

Cole's Boom, Boom

Cole had fun playing at the park today, but he fell on the sidewalk and skinned his knee.

Our friends came for a visit last night. We had such a special time catching up and seeing everyone again after all our moving around this year. Nana got to come back to Orlando for Wycliffe meetings after leaving a month earlier. It was such fun for Cole to see her since he remembered her this time and gave her lots of kisses. We only got to see her for one day, but were thankful for the time we had. Poor Bob had to settle for a little Skype time. :-(

What I learned in Cali

In cali, it is so cold, I have to put on my hat, mittens, and coat in order to go out doors. I adore the outdoors, so anything I have to do to get outside, is fine with me.
When I got home from Cali, I found my mittens and wanted my mommy to put them on me. I also found my hat. On an 85 degree day, my wonderful, patient mommy took me outside all dressed in my finest winter stuff while wearing my shorts. What an amazing boy I am to figure out if I wear my hat and mittens I can go outside.

(Lets just say after this, Mommy put them up in the closet.)

My cousins came for a visit while I was in California visiting my gramma and grampa.
Eden and Elani. Eden is the older one. (taller) We had so much fun at the park, boy was it cold though...

Elani is such a sweetie, both of the girls enjoyed meeting their cousin for the very first time. Cole warmed up to the girls quickly compared to the adults in Cali. He loves kids and always wants to play. He is so interested in what older kids are doing. I am sure this is the way all little ones are, but it is cute anyway.

My mommy thinks I am handsome, and cute. I will have to say I agree.

We signed the papers (all 10 feet of them) last night. We are so excited to have our own home again! Cole loves running around the "circle" from living room to kitchen and dining room.

Cole and I leave Monday for Cali. Daddy will have to finish moving us while we are gone. At least he won't have us under foot!

Cole has a backporch which he loves and as soon as we get a fence in he will be able to play out in the yard without alligators for the first time ever!

We can't wait to have many of you come for a visit. Nana and Papa and Aunt Lex are coming for Christmas. It will be so much fun to share our new home!! But, they may have to help clean and unpack a few boxes, including their beds!

This house was one of the many bank owned forclosures, so it needs a little TLC> But we are excited about its potential and really doesn't need much work since it it only 2 years old.

... The greatest benefit of living in Florida is the mild winter weather allowing my mommy and daddy to take me on a bike ride in my trailer to the golf course and letting me run and play without having to be all bundled up!!

Thanksgiving

Missie and Ms. Susie were so gracious to invite me and my mommy and daddy over for Thanksgiving dinner. Ella was there and we had so much fun playing in the back yard.

there was a swingset with three swings, and a rope swing too. One for me, one for Ella, and one for her lizard and ball.

I liked climbing on the chair and going in and out the back porch and the house the very best. I really didn't want to leave. I think I could have run in the back yard all night long.

I have been dabbling in digital scrapbooking. Here is a layout I did the other day. my sweet sweet baby, seems like yesterday...
Digital scrapbooking is soo cool. Of course I am enjoying it so much since my wonderful husband bought me a pink, I did say PINK, laptop for my birthday!! I guess that was his way of making up for the fact all my scrapbook stuff has been packed up since February of this year.

Ok, so I know now that Cole likes pumpkins. The bright orange color is quite tempting for a one year old... He loved the different sizes, and textures. It was so hard to get him to stay still for one second while I took his picture. I took a lot in hopes of getting one good one. Well, we are in luck because we got quite a few...

This one is my favorite. He is reaching between two larger pumpkins for one small one. His reasoning is so he can pick it up and carry it around. Not just because it is cute.

Cole loved Papa to push him in his car. They went round and round the house. The layout of the new house allows you to go all the way through the back hall through the bedrooms and back to the kitchen.
Lots of driving room... Cole figured out how to get in the car himself, so he would get in and just wait for someone to push him. If it took too long he would start sqealing.

Don't ask about the tie. something about Bob not being dressed up enough to suit Joe Blake.

Cole took Daisy and Gizmo to the dog park. While we were there we found the new baseball field made out of astroturf. This was perfect for pushing the car and Daisy decided she was tired and wanted a ride.
Cole takes hi beloved car everywhere he goes. I am assuming his favorite color is red. He cries when Jeff puts it in the garage at night. He used to love riding in it, but now he loves pushing it. He just seems to have this thing for pushing anything with wheels, no matter the size.
Go daddy Go. Jeff got his work out this night. Cole was going so fast his hair was standing on end.

The arboretum is one of my mommies favorite places. There is a big pond and stream with a long paved walking trail. We see ducks, flower gardens, birds, and Big Red wood trees. The best part is this is only 10 min from home. Although it is in the heart of the Tree huggerville called UC Davis.

right after we arrived in Cali, Cousin Shannon and her daughter Lily came to visit all the Fam. She and Cole had fun playing together. They are a year apart in age and about 1 lb in weight. She is a petite tiny little thing, like her mother. Just as cute as can be. the only other great grandchild on the Taylor side of the family.

Lily loved Cole's car, so Cole had to ride his big boy tricycle.

We decided to take Cole to Cocoa beach one more time before we moved. This was his first time since he started crawling. He really didn't like the feel of the sand or the sound of the water. Papa and Nana came for a visit
Papa teaching me to stand up. After this I stood up in my crib, holding on to the railing of course, and then my momma had to lower my crib matress before I could go to sleep. I guess she was afraid I would climb out already at only 7 months old.
I am wearing my TEVA sandals for the first time. My daddy and grampa bought these in Cali when I was only 8 weeks old. Get ready Uncle Steve, I am getting ready to sail!
My new jungle gym. I have been having so much fun with this. I like playing peek a boo with the flaps. I just giggle and laugh and smile. such a happy boy!
